C&F Green Energy work with a leading blade manufacturer in Europe and also design and build blades in-house.

The large selection of aerodynamic blades within the product range allows each turbine to maximise the swept area, efficiencies and output. This gives our turbines the ability to start producing power at a lower wind speed of approximately 2.2 m/s and reach full power in lower wind speeds.

Larger blade shells are made from structural glass fibre and epoxy resin and are joined using a central shear web and epoxy glue and finished with a two pack durable paint with gives a uniformed finish.

Smaller blades are manufactured from structural glass fibre and vinylester resin wrapped 360 degree around a polyurethane foam core before being injected in a RTM moulded process before being sanded and polished leaving a gel coated finish.
